Hiking trip to "Millstätter Alpe"

On 11th November 2015, the Technikon team enjoyed the gorgeous Austrian autumn and performed a hiking trip to "Millstätter Alpe". We hiked up to Kamplnock (2.101 m) and to Hochpalfennock (2.099 m).

Project Announcement - PATRIOT

Technikon is glad to announce that the project "PATRIOT" has successfully started on 1st October 2015 with a set duration of 24 months. This project receives funding from the Eurostars-2 joint programme with co-funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme with the nr E! 9629. The Kick-Off Meeting took place on 16th October in Eindhoven/The Netherlands. For further project information, please access the announcement letter.

Internship at Technikon

On 1st of October 2015, Jan SEDA started his internship at Technikon.

He is currently studying International Business Management Master Degree Program at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. Jan supports our Project Management Team.

Two students started their internship

Two students named Lejla IRISKIC and David PAULI started their internship at Technikon on 3rd of August 2015. Lejla IRISKIC, from the University Banja Luka, will support our RTD-Team with her knowledge in Electrical Engineering. David PAULI started to work within the Engineering Team at Technikon. He studies "Secure Information Systems" at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Both of them will support us until the End of January 2016 and we hereby welcome them in our team!

Technikon biking excursion

On Friday 3rd of July 2015, the TECHNIKON team made a biking excursion around the Ossiacher See in Villach. All of us enjoyed the sunny weather as well as the summer sledge riding in Ossiach.

Summer internship

On 1st of July 2015, Daria BIRYUKOVA started her internship at Technikon. As an international student from Russian Federation, she is currently studying on International Business Management Master Degree Program at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. Daria will support our Project Management Team throughout the summer.

Project Announcement – ECSEL Project ADMONT

The new ECSEL project ADMONT (Advanced Distributed Pilot Line for More-than-Moore Technologies) aims to establish a powerful and versatile More-than-Moore pilot line for Europe increasing the diversification of CMOS process technologies. Such distributed MtM pilot line is unique in Europe as well as worldwide and will be implemented as “one-stop-shop” for partners and customers. ADMONT is focused on four main key applications: smart energy, smart mobility, smart health, and smart production and essential capabilities like semiconductor process equipment and materials, design technology and smart system integration. The project consortium is organized and working along the value chain for ECS technologies in Europe. 14 partners from 6 different European countries have successfully started ADMONT on 1st of May. The project Kick-off Meeting was held in Dresden/Germany in order to establish a concrete work plan and a good project cooperation for 4 upcoming project years.

European Cybersecurity & Privacy Innovation Forum 2015

Management Board of Technikon gave two invited talks at the European Cybersecurity & Privacy Innovation Forum 2015 in Brussels on April 28th-29th 2015. Our new H2020 project HECTOR was introduced and our experience as Austrian SME participating in the European Security programmes were presented to an audience of more than 400 people.

Project Announcement - H2020 Project HECTOR

On 1st of March 2015, the fourth European H2020 project HECTOR has successfully started, whereas the Kick-off Meeting was held in Grenoble/France. We aim to close the gap between the mathematical heaven of crypto graphic algorithms and their efficient, secure and robust hardware implementations.

On 1st of February 2015, three of our new European H2020 projects M3TERA, SAFURE and SUPERCLOUD have successfully started. Kick-off meetings, held in Villach, Munich and Paris enabled the partners to meet in person and commonly accept the challenge in order to achieve the common project goals. EUROMILS at the HiPEAC Conference in Amsterdam

The HiPEAC conference is the premier European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for embedded and general-purpose systems, attracting more than 500 delegates each year. The 10th HiPEAC conference took place from 19th to 21st January in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

EUROMILS partners organized the "International Workshop on MILS: Architecture and Assurance for Secure Systems". Furthermore, the project was presented within the Industrial Poster Session.

Our new European H2020 project SUPERCLOUD (User-centric management of security and dependability in clouds of clouds) aims at supporting user-centric deployments across multi-clouds that, enabling the composition of innovative trustworthy services in order to uplift Europe’s innovation capacity and thus improve its competitiveness. Our new European H2020 project SAFURE (Safety and security by design for interconnected mixed-critical cyber-physical systems) aims at enhancing the security of safety-critical cyber-physical systems by implementing a methodology that ensures safety and security „by construction“. This will limit the impact of security on safety when using common shared resources such as networks and processors, preserving the system from attacks that could affect the overall system safety.
